HR Operations Manager – Glasgow – Up to £50k basic dependent on experience
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an HR Operations Manager to deliver a high-quality operational HR service to the group.
You will manage two HR Advisors and one HR Administrator, being responsible for the delivery and oversight of a broad range of HR activities associated with the employee lifecycle. You will lead the provision of a high-quality and responsive HR service, ensuring the operational team is actively engaged in the continuous improvement of all HR operations.
This is a broad role where you will be responsible for hands-on delivery, team management, and serving as a role model and champion for the group’s principles.

Role of the HR Operations Manager:
- Act as a role model for the HR team, coaching and developing team members to ensure high performance and potential.
- Facilitate the development of operating procedures and service standards, ensuring they are constantly monitored to deliver a high-quality and consistent HR service.
- Develop and implement new company policies.
- Manage and oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Administer and manage reward changes, including promotions, salary reviews, bonuses, and other incentives.
- Ensure Health and Safety activity is compliant with legislation.
- Oversee all employee relations (ER) activity, supporting and guiding HR Advisors with best practices.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement improvements.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and reporting.
- Ability to take on and effectively manage projects in addition to day-to-day operations.
- Proven track record as an HR Operations Manager or equivalent role.
- Experience operating in a busy, broad, and diverse role, balancing team management with hands-on administration and advice.
- A subject matter expert for the HR team and line managers on HR policies and employee relations.
- The successful candidate will have experience in providing expert advice and coaching on ER issues to people managers.
